FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to agricultural engineering and can be used for mechanising compost preparation. The compost maker has a feeder, stacking apparatus and a forced-draught fan mounted on a frame. The feeder is in form of four cylinder-chippers with blades in form of segments of a saw-toothed belt. The stacking apparatus is in form of a cylinder-accelerator with the helical winding of the saw-toothed belt converging to the centre. The machine has under the cylinder-chippers and cylinder-accelerator, a double bottom, the upper plane of which is perforated. The forced-draught fan is linked to the double bottom through a buckle.
EFFECT: increased degree of aeration, increased porosity and homogeneity of the mixture when composting organic wastes in piles and improvement of the process of making compost.
