FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: proposed trap for ectoparasites comprises means of attracting the ectoparasites and a storage device. The means of attracting the ectoparasites is in form of a vibrator, generating acoustic waves with frequency of 2-20000 Hz in topsoil, and a heater for simulating a warm-blooded body.
EFFECT: killing mites in pre-determined quantities in a wide range of climatic conditions; provision for an ecologically clean method of fighting against ectoparasites without polluting the treated biocenose, without altering the balance numerical ratio of types of flora and fauna, their destruction, contrary to chemical methods; the method does not give rise to allergic reaction or diseases in people and animals.
