FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method involves rating of parent commercial-grade summer diesel fuels and/or their mixtures for quality characteristics. Depressing agent dissolved in diesel fuel and/or kerosene, and/or the other solvent is prepared. The fuel and dissolved depressing agent are compounded. Ready-to use fuels are re-rated for quality characteristics thereafter compared and tested for low-temperature pumpability. Herewith quality characteristics of parent commercial-grade summer diesel fuels and/or their mixtures include setting point evaluated by pre-specified faction composition including end point of 96% diesel fuel fraction and formula: Tc=0,87T96%-321.7, (1) where Tc is a setting point of summer diesel fuel, °C; T96% is an end point of 96% diesel fuel (DF) fraction, °C; 0.87, 321.7 are empirical coefficients. Depressing additive concentration in diesel fuel is evaluated prior to compounding fuel and dissolved depressing agent by formulas: if T96%=348…352°C if T96%=353…357°C if T96%=358…360°C where Tc = x is a setting point of DF, °C; CDA is DA concentration, %, T96% is an end point of 96% fraction. Depressing additive concentrated 0.018…0.022% (wt) of prepared 1% depressing agent dissolved in diesel fuel and/or kerosene and/or the other solvent is added to parent summer diesel fuels and/or their mixtures. After compounded, ready-to-use fuels and/or their mixtures are re-tested for setting point by common (or any known) procedure.

EFFECT: process acceleration and reduction in price.
