FIELD: methods of analysis of diesel fuels for presence of pour-point depressants; obtaining on-line information on diesel fuel brand. SUBSTANCE: catalyst at volume ratio of 1:2 to 5 is added to diesel fuel sample, after which mixture is agitated and is held at temperature of 40 to 60 C for 50-10 s and then it is cooled to room temperature and after separation into phases, presence of pour- point depressants is judged from cloudiness of organic phase (diesel fuel); mixture of aqueous ammonia solution Cu(II) (CCu = 150 to 300 mg/cu.dm) and isopropyl alcohol taken at ratio of 1:2-3 is used as catalyst.
