FIELD: tobacco industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the technology of tobacco refuse processing. The method consists in extracting lemon balm with liquid carbon dioxide and separating a respective miscella, mixing up the tobacco material with a non-polar liquefied gas, extracting and shredding the material by relieving periodically the pressure in the extraction mixture below the extractant moist steam pressure at extraction temperature, then separating the miscella and meal, taking a respective extract from the miscella, suspending the meal in an aqueous solution of an edible acid and introducing an edible polyatomic alcohol into the suspension. The suspension is thereby formed, dried to a residual humidity of 13-15%, cut and treated with the gas-liquid tobacco extract and separated CO2 miscella by raising simultaneously the pressure, then relieving the pressure to atmospheric one by freezing simultaneously the soaked up carbon dioxide and the latter is sublimed to obtain a target product in the residue.
EFFECT: improved organoleptical properties of the reconstituted tobacco and shortened duration of the technological process.
