FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method relates to obtaining cellulose triacetate. Process is carried out in centrifuge by acetylating cotton cellulose with mixture of the following composition: acetic anhydride 49-51%, acetic acid - 12-14%, xylol - 36-39%. As process catalyst perchloric acid taken in amount 0.75-0.85% of cellulose weight is used. Catalyst is introduced at process temperature 17-19°C, after which during 1-1.5 hours temperature is raised to 28-30 and such temperature is supported during 6-7 hours.
EFFECT: ensuring possibility to obtain product which has higher indices of polymerisation degree, bound acetic acid, thermal stability.
