FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in reconditioning worn out gas turbine engine blade labyrinth seal knife edges. The proposed method of repairing the gas turbine engine blade labyrinth seal knife edges comprises preparing the blade surface for reconditioning followed by preliminary mechanical processing of the blade shroud platform surface. Note here that one of the lateral sides of every seal knife edge is machined to have it deepened into the shroud platform for 0.05 to 0.2 mm with radius of mating between the shroud platform surface and labyrinth seal knife edge making some 0.15 to 0.7 mm. The said blade shroud platform is assembled using the condenser energy-storage point welding with the element being jointed having the area exceeding that of the surface being reconditioned. A paste-like solder is applied to solder the aforesaid element in a vacuum or shuttle furnace till the solder melting point. The paste-like solder is applied into the blade shroud platform. The element being jointed represents a 0.5 to 1.2 mm-thick plate with recesses on its base arranged with 3.5 to 4.5 mm spacing. Note that aforesaid recesses feature the 0.5 to 1.5 mm width and 0.2 to 0.4 mm height, while the plate surface to contact the blade shroud platform seal knife edge represents a shaped surface. Cooling down over, the blade assembly is fitted into the rotor assembly to the seal knives to be machined to specifications.

EFFECT: improved manufacturability, higher quality of worn-out surfaces repair.
