FIELD: physics; measurement.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the method and device for detecting clogging up of the pressure tap of a static pressure sensor of an aircraft from the ground. The device has an aircraft pressure sensor, designed for measuring pressure inside a probe, which has a heating system for heating the probe, and which, after activation of the heating system, takes the first measurement of at least one parametre, which depends on the pressure inside the probe, and after a given period of time after activation of the heating system, takes the second measurement of the said parametre. The device also has at least one central processor for calculating the difference between the first and second measurements and for comparing this difference with a given value, and has an alarm system which indicates detection of clogging if the difference is greater than the given value.
EFFECT: efficient method of detecting clogging of the pressure tap of a static pressure sensor of an aircraft from the ground.
