FIELD: physics; measurement.
SUBSTANCE: proposed group of inventions relates to electro-measuring techniques and can be used for controlling wearing of a cutting tool. The invention seeks to increase rate of measurement, while retaining suppression of interference voltage of two aliquant interfering industrial frequencies and interference from the rotational speed of the spindle of the machine and their harmonics. The method of measuring wearing of a cutting tool involves generating a signal, corresponding to the number of half-turns of the spindle of the machine, and a controlled vibro-acoustic signal. The said signal is processed using a two-cycle integration method, where the dc voltage of the useful signal is integrated together with the voltage of the given interference during the first cycle, and the reference voltage with opposite polarity to the useful signal is integrated during the second cycle. The first integration cycle consists of two equal parallel half-cycles, the duration of which is a multiple of the period of the first interference. The duration of the shift of the beginning of the second half-cycle relative the first is equal to half the period the fundamental harmonic of the second interference. Based on the given signal processing, a code is recorded, corresponding to the wearing of the cutting tool. The device for measuring wearing of a cutting tool has a sensor for the number of half-turns of the spindle of the machine, a limiting amplifier, vibration sensor, amplifier, filter, detector, two triggers, two matching circuits with three inputs, three collector circuits with two inputs and two matching circuits with two inputs, an inverter, two pulse counters, a digital read-out unit and a control device, a sample frequency generator, reference voltage source, two decoders, three analogue switches, an integrator and a comparator, connected together accordingly.
EFFECT: faster measurement, while retaining suppression of interference voltage of two aliquant interfering industrial frequencies and interference from the rotational speed of the spindle of the machine and their harmonics.
