FIELD: physics; measurement.
SUBSTANCE: during the measuring process, a heating electric current with constant and sinusoidal components is passed through a heat sensitive element, which is placed in the controlled medium. A signal is generated from the temperature of the heat sensitive element, as well as a signal from the phase difference between periodic components of signals from temperature and the supplied electrical power. Constant phase difference is maintained when the controlled parametre changes. For this purpose, the frequency of the periodic component of heating current is varied. The measured parametre analysed from the frequency value.
EFFECT: more accurate measurement, particularly medium speed, while simplifying application and miniaturising the measuring devices.
