FIELD: weaponry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to combat equipment, particularly, to self-propelled artillery pieces and can be used in designs of wheeled artillery pieces used in the Army. The proposed self-propelled artillery piece comprises a subframe, combat compartment with rotary drive, engine, wheeled running gear with braking system and wheel springs, fire control system and ordnance payload. The said combat compartment represents a tight armored housing accommodating tandem-mounted mechanised rounds racks and manipulator. The said housing rear armored sheet is furnished with a hatch to transfer rounds to loading line.
EFFECT: reduced weight and production costs.
