SUBSTANCE: invention relates to small arms. The pistol lockwork is arranged before the magazine and accommodates all its parts except for hammer and main spring. The hammer is cocked when breech runs out till engagement with the muzzle. To change from single to automatic fire, the transfer lever disengages automatic release and retarder to push them downward and to release them at maximum stroke of the trigger. Note that the retarder operates two times, i.e. when the breech starts running out and when it comes to its front position.

EFFECT: simplified design, higher reliability and safety.
