SUBSTANCE: device consists of catching devices that are provided on both sides of separated sheet and retain sheet material (6, 14) for example banknotes, which is carried along with separated sheet. First catching device (12) is located near sheet-separating slot (13) opposite the sheet-separating device, and operates continuously. Second catching device (15) operates on the other side of the sheet-separating slot before that slot or therein, and is activated only after the sheet separated from sheet material stock is securely caught with sheet-separating device, and is switched off when this sheet has left sheet-separating slot (13).
EFFECT: preventing output of several sheets overlapping each other at item-by-tem separation of sheets from sheet material stock.
