FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: method consists in sampling of rock, in crushing sample, in separating sample in heavy liquid, in narrow size grading, for example to 3-10 fractions, in magnetic and electromagnetic separation and in evaluating weight of fractions in per cents, further in optical evaluation of gross contents of minerals in "tracks" of grains of each size fraction, in counting minerals by quantity of grains of minerals in proportion to weight in per cents of surveyed narrow sized fraction in sample; further minerals extracted from "track" are subject to effect of magnet and electromagnet; amount of similar minerals of various size is summarised, obtained result is expressed in 100%, which corresponds to gross contents of minerals in sample.
EFFECT: facilitating uniform accuracy of evaluation for all sizes of fractions of gross mineral composition of heavy fractions.
