FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to medicine, namely, to anesthesiology and may be used in case of necessity of evaluation of the adequacy of block in conduction anesthesia. Therefore after the conducted blockade strength of the pulse index is measured every minute within 5 minutes on the healthy and blocked limb. Then its mean value is calculated for every limb; and block coefficient is derived as the ratio of the mean index value of the strength of the pulse of the blocked limb to the similar parametre of the healthy limb. If block coefficient value is ≥3, blockade is considered to be adequate, if block coefficient value is <3 additional potentiation of the anesthesia is ordered.
EFFECT: method enables controlling quality and adequacy of performed conduction anesthesia without additional interventions.
