METHOD OF ACUTE PAIN RELIEF IN EARLY POSTOPERATIVE PERIOD AFTER RADICAL SURGICAL TREATMENT OF ONCOLOGICAL PATIENTS Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B5/00 A61P23/00

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to anesthesiology and resuscitation in oncology, and can be used in early postoperative period for acute pain relief in early postoperative period after radical surgical treatment of oncological patients. Method involves narcotic analgesia. Application of transdermal therapeutic system based on fentanyl on shoulder in dosage 50–100 mcg/hour is performed 2 hours prior to surgical intervention. After surgical intervention and before awakening patient undergoes regional anesthesia under US-navigation: intercostal blockade in thoracotomy and TAP-block in laparotomy.

EFFECT: method provides reducing or eliminating the need for systemic opioid anesthesia up to 48 hours after the operation by combining the transdermal form of fentanyl and peripheral nerve blockade with ultrasound navigation.
