FIELD: mechanics; shipbuilding industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water crafts, particularly to the shape of head part of a ship. The ship's head is implemented with a section of ruled surface and catamaran skids provided at the sides of right and left boards. The section of ruled surface and skids are changed to nearly conceptual keeled line in the direction of the middle part. The skids are made V-shaped. There is a free opening in the front section of skids provided for flowing over ruled surface section. There is an area in the front part of the ruled surface section between skids, which is located above the main surface at an angle approximately from 1 to 20.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of ship during its operation.
