FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: protecting device contains protecting bushing and fixing element for selective engagement of protecting bushing with downhole tool to prevent rotation. The protecting bushing consists of an upper element, at the lower end of which there is made a slotted joint and of a lower element, at the lower end of which there is made a fixing element in form of a group of elastic arresters (collets) for engagement with the downhole tool.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of operation and installation of protecting device in whole.
