FIELD: physics; radio.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to radar and can be used in control and measuring apparatus of Doppler radar systems. The radar target simulator contains a microwave module, communication line, horn antenna, a group of Doppler frequency synthesisers, a group of multiplying digital-to-analogue converters (DAC), a group of switches, first reprogrammable read-only memory device (PROM), second PROM, multiplex bus interface and a control multiplex bus, all connected in a certain manner. The microwave module consists of a device for automatic power regulation, pulse modulator, a group of amplitude modulators, microwave adder, power level switch and a digital attenuator, connected to each other and corresponding components of the proposed simulator in a certain way.
EFFECT: more functional capabilities due to simulation of a signal reflected from a real target, which is an array of bright points which are sources of secondary radiation.
