FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement systems, in particular - to facilities for radiolocation survey of ballistic objects trajectories and may be used for missile initial speed measurement. The method is as follows: by the missile Doppler echo-signal implementations one generates a sequence of discrete values of its current speed and thereby calculates the missile initial speed, defines the width of the Doppler echo-signal spectrum, by the spectrum width one defines the area of the missile maximum section by a plane perpendicular to the missile viewing line; by the above area variation one concludes on the missile nutation which enhances measurement informativity. The missile initial speed measurement device contains a Doppler radiolocator 1, a light triggering pulse former 2, a timer 3, an initial delay timer sensor 4, a Doppler echo-signal implementation former 5, a former of discrete values of the missile current speed 6, a buffer memory device 7, an implementation counter 8, a data authenticity analyser 9, a former of data for initial speed calculation 10, a measurer of initial implementations total duration 11, a summator 12, a calculator 13, a unit for rapid inverse Fourier transform calculation 14, a unit for estimate of the spectrum width 15, an indicator 16.
EFFECT: improved precision of measurement.
