FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: dispersion of discrete particles of a themoplastic polymer P is first obtained from a molten mixture of thermoplastic polymer P and additive A. This mixture is cooled to temperature below the softening point of thermoplastic polymer P. The cooled mixture is then processed so as to induce separation of discrete particles of the thermoplastic polymer P. Additive A consists of a polymer substance at least one part of the structure of which is compatible with thermoplastic polymer P, and at least one part of the structure of which is not compatible and insoluble in thermoplastic polymer P. The obtained powder contains particles with average diametre less than 1 mm.
EFFECT: invention allows for obtaining powder, which contains small sized particles with limited grain-size composition of a regular shape.
