FIELD: refrigerating equipment.
SUBSTANCE: fluid separator comprises a cylindrical hosing, inlet branch pipe to intake a vapour-liquid mix of ammonia with oil and fluid branch pipe. The proposed fluid separator is furnished with two additional columns, one of them including a coil with liquid ammonia inlet and outlet branch pipes. Every separating column has branch pipes to take in vapour-liquid mix of liquid ammonia with oil, branch pipes to let ammonia vapours out into fluid separator housing vapour zone and branch pipes that let fluid out from the separating column into chamber formed by the said housing surfaces, those of the branch pipe with collaring directed upward and a taper baffle arranged coaxially with the housing. Metered annular grooves are arranged inside the housing, formed by the lower end face part of the branch pipe with collaring, surface of the said taper baffle and surface of the fluid separator housing. Note also that the fluid separator is provided with perforated tapered deflectors fitted at the separator top part, aligned with its housing, oil catcher with oil heater arranged at the separator bottom and connected with the branch pipe letting oil out of the separating column.
