FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to controlling access to a terminal, particularly to terminals which contain private and/or confidential information. The technical outcome is achieved by that, the terminal has at least two positions for its housing elements. Access to the terminal depends on the position of the housing element of the terminal. In the operating position of the housing element of the terminal, complete access is provided for. During shared use of the terminal, the housing element is shifted to another position, for which access to the terminal is limited. This allows the owner of the terminal to grant other users access to shared use of content with minimum risk of other users deliberately or accidentally getting access to private and/or confidential information.
EFFECT: design of a terminal, which prevents unauthorised access to private and/or confidential information when the terminal is under shared use.
