SUBSTANCE: claimed invention relates to medicine, namely to item of personal hygiene, including wrapping, which has at least one free edge, absorbing product of personal hygiene and sensor mark indicating location of free edge. In one version of realisation wrapping represents wrapping component and includes first panel, back panel and second panel, in which first panel is connected with reverse panel and second panel is connected with reverse panel on edge opposite to that on which first panel is connected with reverse panel. Second panel has free edge located adjacently to first panel, second panel includes first set of sensor attributes, which end on free edge of second panel and first panel includes second set of sensor attributes, which are located adjacently to free edge of second panel. In claimed invention at least one attribute from first set of sensor attributes or at least one attribute from second set of attributes differs from attributes of other set. Different attributes create difference between second panel and first panel and difference forms sensor mark which gives clear indication about position of free edge of second panel. Also claimed is method of application personal hygiene product and wrapping. Sensor mark can also be applied to show user how to open wrapping.

EFFECT: ensuring clear indication of location of second panel free edge.
