FIELD: treatment facilities.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to flotation method of natural and waste water cleaning from heavy metal ions. The cleaning method includes water treatment with flotation reagent and further flotation. Polyethylene glycol terephthalate is used as flotation reagent. He said reagent is preliminary dissolved in ethylene glycol at 1:2-1:4 and supplied to waste water in the amount of 0.3-0.5 l/m3. Flotation is performed in two staged at pH 2-3 and pH 7-8. Consequently, zinc ions are separated at the first stage and copper ions are separated at the second stage. Flotation reagent is represented as a slightly smelled liquid of white colour with inherent high collecting and foam-making properties.
EFFECT: method ensures selective ability of nonferrous metals separation while preserving high rate of waste water cleaning and allows for disposing polyethylene glycol terephthalate waste and producing commercial copper and zinc products avoiding additional production and economical costs; proposed by invention flotation agent is environmentally friendly and has long-term shelf-life without loss of process properties.
