FIELD: physics; computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automation of billing and making billing documents, mainly utility bills. Information relevant for the billing document is entered into a computer at the billing centre from an electronic data base. This information includes personal account number, payer's telephone number, data which identifies the payer, and the amount owed for services rendered. These data are then transferred to a digital telephony unit and a telephone connection is established with the payer. A voice message is synthesised and sent, containing information on data which identifies the payer, and the amount owed, as well as a request to the payer to settle arrears and enter the amount the payer agrees to pay, using a keyboard on the payer's telephone set. A standard billing document is made containing relevant information which includes the amount owed, which the payer agrees to pay, and is then sent to the payer.
EFFECT: widening the assortment of used resources, faster operation and more reliable creation of the documents.
