SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary medicine. Method lies in the following: preliminarily, boundaries of investigated agricultural landscape, in which monitoring of population size of hard ticks and their feeders - mouse-like rodents is carried out, are determined, then, taking into account data, obtained during monitoring, mapping of distribution of dominant and smaller tick populations on investigated agricultural landscape is performed and annual analysis of said ticks epizooty is carried out, access of small domestic animals and synathropic birds to places of cattle housing and feed storage is prevented, early contamination of animals by examining is detected and mass spring and autumn intramuscular injections against burrow-pasture and pasture-stall ecological groups of wintering ticks are made to animals during stalled and grazing periods with preparations of avermectin group in doze 0.1-0.2 ml per 100 kg of live weight every month, agricultural sanitary barriers in form of clearings, drove sides and territories surrounding stock-raising buildings, sown with plants containing organic substances are created.

EFFECT: enhancing efficiency of prevention of diseases of agricultural animals transmitted by hard (exodid) ticks.
