FIELD: ship appliances.
SUBSTANCE: proposed ship fender comprises automotive tires (1) arranged in row, back to back, and fitted with elastic tire tubes (7) fitted therein. Automotive tire opening (2) features diametre making at least 0.9 of that of tire tread. The tire side features radial through slits (3) and holes (4) arranged there between to allow tire connecting cords to pass through them. Tires (7) are interconnected by connecting cords passed through holes made in elastic securing lugs (8) arranged on aforesaid elastic tubes. The tube chambers communicate via unions (10). The sides of extreme tires accommodate elastic-material plates (12) attached thereto by connecting cords passed through holes (4) arranged in two rows and representing isosceles trapezoids. Joints of the plate upper row side walls are shifted relative to those of lower row through half the width of the plate. The plate upper bases are jointed together by flanges (14, 15), linked up and furnished with eyebolts (18, (19). Identical ropes (22) are fastened, in symmetry, by ropes to each eye bolt (22). Fasteners (6) arranged in aforesaid radial slits (5) and flush with tire cord are fastened to the ends of ropes.
EFFECT: reduced ship fender rigidity.
