FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves local thermal processing a polymer at temperature below its glass-transition temperature. A polymer object with prolate form (film, fibre, tape, pipe, rod) is used, made from plasticised or unplasticised, amorphous or amorphous-crystalline polymer, initially at temperature below glass transition temperature of the polymer subjected to stretching in an adsorptive-active liquid medium, containing dissolved non-thermochromic dye, and dried at temperature below glass transition temperature of the polymer.
EFFECT: simplification of method of recording information on polymers.
