FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: proposed drive serves to lock fast-acting gate cover. It incorporates hand wheel, drive screw and drive nut with hammerhead slots on the nut side inclined faces. Note here that the said drive screw us made from round-section stock, not hollow. The screw end, on the side of its attachment to the gate cover bottom, is furnished with stop and fitted into radial thrust bearings arranged in the cup. The said cup is attached to the cover bottom.
EFFECT: radial thrust bearings allow radial and axial rigidity of assembly and accurate mounting and locking.
