MOVABLE STABILISED MOUNTING FOR PANORAMIC FILM SHOOTING Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC G03B17/16

Abstract RU 2362195 C1

FIELD: film production.

SUBSTANCE: movable stabilised mounting for panoramic film shooting comprises a vertical support member, perpendicular to which is mounted a platform with a filming device and an electronic control device. The vertical support member is pneumatic and is in form of a cylindrical corrugated shell filled with compressed gas-air mixture, consisting of two parts with smaller and larger diametre. The said support member is attached to a storage container of the said mixture using an electrically operated valve. On the body of the storage container there are at least four correction engines, each of which is pneumatically linked to the said platform with provision for changing position of the latter about the vertical support member. The mounting is provided with two wheels, each of which has a rim and moving protector. On the inner side of the rim there are two rollers with propulsion motors, and a third roller, linked to a motor for inclination of the support. The said motors are rigidly joined together using an element, which in turn, is joined to the storage container by an axis, which acts as the axis of inclination of the support. The motor for inclination of the support is joined by a crankshaft to a hard ring, which encircles the support where its parts with different diametres are linked. The electronic control device has a processor and a motion control unit and a unit for controlling position of the support, connected to the processor. The motion control unit is electrically connected to propulsion motors and the unit for controlling position of the support is electrically connected to correction motors. On the platform, there are at least two position sensors, connected to the unit for controlling position of the support. The above mentioned storage container is provided with at least two pilot-controlled valves, one of which is linked to the cavity of the support member, and the other can be connected to external devices.

EFFECT: provision for movement of a device, mounted on a support, for panoramic film or video shooting with damping of possible dynamic impacts on the device and stabilisation of its position during angular and linear displacements in the process of panoramic shooting.
