CREAMY AGENT FOR IMPROVING SOFTNESS OF LINEN DURING WASHING Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC C11D3/06

SUBSTANCE: creamy agent for improving smoothness of linen during washing contains potassium metaphosphate, with viscosity of 200 mPa·s or more in aqueous solution. Viscosity is determined with addition of 2 g potassium phosphate to 50 ml water, stirring the mixture for 1 minute, addition of a solution obtained from dissolving 4 g sodium metaphosphate in 50 ml water, stirring the mixture for 3 hours and determination of viscosity in a B-type viscometer at 25°C. Besides phosphorous, potassium metaphosphate contains arsenic in amount of 0-0.7 mmol in 1 kg of potassium metaphosphate and, besides potassium, sodium in amount of 0-100 mmol in 1 kg of potassium metaphosphate. The washing composition contains a creamy agent which improves smoothness of linen during washing and a solubilising substance. The manual washing method is realised at concentration of potassium metaphosphate in water equal to or greater than 30 mg/l, and weight ratio of water to linen equal to or greater than 2. Potassium metaphosphate is obtained by spray-drying an aqueous solution of potassium dihydrogen phosphate and phosphoric acid or an aqueous solution of potassium dihydrogen phosphate, phosphoric acid, arsenic and/or sodium, and burning the spray-dried product.

EFFECT: increased smoothness (softness) of linen and hand skin, prevention of damage to fabric during washing, easier manual washing.
