FIELD: geology.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of geological survey works and may be used in oil and gas production industry in searching of oil and gas deposits in regions with moderate and cold-humid climate. Bryogeochemical method is suggested for search of oil and gas deposits including sampling of water moss in specified area with further water extraction from it, differs by the fact that moss samples are taken of equal weight and volume, moss is squeezed into metre tank, and in squeezed liquid by method of nuclear-adsorption spectroscopy availability of metal-informants is detected, besides availability of oil and gas deposits is confirmed by excess content of above mentioned metals in samples relative to their content in other samples. Validity of search according to suggested method is 80-100% for the deposit availability and 100% for its absence.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of oil or gas deposit searching.
