FIELD: aerospace engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to space vehicles, for example, rocket-carriers (their stage) and methods of their preservation in their return to the Earth. Space vehicle comprises elongated body (1), axisymmetric or the like. In its return to the Earth, inflatable structure is deployed to make a torus or its segments aligned with the body lengthwise axis. Aforesaid inflatable structure is arranged between nominal centre of gravity and body rear end. The structure sizes are selected so that to bring the centre of lift force application closer to spacecraft center of gravity to stabilise the body in the range of angles of attack from 100° too 120° in descent in atmosphere at transonic and supersonic speeds.
EFFECT: reliable descent, preservation of rocket-carrier stages.
