SUBSTANCE: invention concerns locking devices and can be applied in locking gates and doors in various premises. Sliding bar lock includes plate-shaped case with bent side edges. Shifting plate with a cut and lengthwise slit is placed inside the case. A pin is positioned in the cut and spitted on the same axle with code disc so that they can rotate and the pin can enter lengthwise slit when shifting plate moves. Case bottom features first transverse groove holding sprung arrester plate. Lower surface of the shifting plate features second transverse groove where the sprung arrester plate can enter when both grooves are matched simultaneously with pulling sliding bar lock out of work position by arrester actuation, so that the bar lock could be further returned into work position.
EFFECT: enhanced security of sliding bar lock.
