FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the new organic-inorganic composite porous separator, method of its fabrication and electrochemical device thereof. According to the invention organic-inorganic composite porous separator contains: (a) separator support based on polyolefines; and (b) active layer obtained by the coating of at least one area selected from the group consisting of the support surface and part of the support pores with the mixture of inorganic porous particles with size from 0.001 mcm to 10 mcm and binding polymer. The inorganic particles in the active layer are bound together and fixed by the binding polymer and the volumes intruded among them form the porous structure. The ratio of inorganic particles in their mixture with binding polymer is 50-99 wt %.
EFFECT: enhancing of the battery quality including its heat and electrochemical safety.
