FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: tooling contains floating holder mounted on spindle of head stock, hold-down device providing permanent contact of tube with carrier in direction of cutting tool action. In this process tool and bearing roller of carrier are positioned opposite each other with possibility to travel along axis of processed tube. Carrier is mounted on console toolholder fixed on support fixed on support and contacts with tube inner surface by three rotating rollers two of which are located opposite to the tool and have fixed position, and the third is offset from tool action plane to head stock, is spring-loaded and mounted with possibility to move freely in radial direction.
EFFECT: decrease in variation in wall thickness of processed tubes.
