FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to wind power engineering and may be used for transformation of wind energy into controlled and stored mechanical energy subject to use. Device for transformation of wind energy with flywheel drive comprises extended hollow air channel, flywheel and rotary shaft. Air channel has conical tubular shape with both ends open. One of ends has larger cross section and serves as air inlet, and the other end has smaller cross section and serves as air outlet. Flywheel is installed in air channel near air outlet for transformation of wind load in controlled rotation torque of flywheel. Flywheel has circular base and wind blades installed symmetrically around centre of specified base, besides the main weight of flywheel is evenly spread around external edge of mentioned base. Rotary shaft arranged in the form of cylindrical stand in combination with flywheel serves for rotation energy outlet. Flywheel with wind blades may continue rotation at specified shaft due to its inertia for a certain period of time even after wind stops blowing.
EFFECT: provision of stable mode of operation.
