SUBSTANCE: offered arrangement concerns radio engineering area, and can be used in radiolocation, radio navigation, communication, antenna systems and radio measurements as the independent arrangement, and also as the functional assembly for construction of power dividers, mixing units, modulators, discriminators, power adders, beamformers. The coupler is allocated in a metal envelope and executed on two, separated by an average dielectric layer, foil-coated dielectric substrates; the topology of the directional coupler consisting of four pieces of feeding symmetric strip lines and area of strip lines with frontal communication is applied on them. Four interface pieces of symmetric strip lines with the complex resistance, carrying out function of nonresonating transformers, included between feeding symmetric strip lines and area with frontal communication are entered in topology of the directed coupler for extension of a working band of frequencies, reduction of transmission coefficient dispersion, increase of coupling, reduction of dimensions, and the length and width of the interface pieces of symmetric strip lines is chosen from optimum coordination condition, and the size of a dielectric coefficient of an average dielectric layer does not differ from size of a dielectric coefficient of a substrate, or differs from it on ±(20-30)%.

EFFECT: extension of a working band of frequencies, reduction of transmission coefficient dispersion, increase of coupling, reduction of dimensions.
