FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to methods for manufacturing multilayer silphons for instruments and compensating couplings for distribution pipelines in vehicles and industrial equipment. Multilayer pipe is assembled and corrugated, the corrugations are strengthened. In this process the corrugations are strengthened via interconnection of layers at tops and/or concavities of the silphon by welding them together (e.g. by contact-seam welding).
EFFECT: increase in resistance to pressure impact of working mediums.
