FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automobile fuel production, namely - to octane- increasing additives and can be applied for increasing detonation resistance and phase stability of automobile petrol. Claimed additive represents composition, which includes cyclic ketals (1,3-dioxolanes) or their mixtures, obtained during glycols (glycerin, ethylenglycol) interaction with ketones (acetone, methylethylketone, cyclohexanon and other), and alcohol with following component ratio: cyclic ketal 30-70 vol.%, ethyl alcohol - the remaining part. Introduction of proposed additives to petrol in amount 10-20 vol.% allows to increase considerably octane number of initialpetrrol.
EFFECT: ensuring phase stability of obtained fuel compositions at low temperatures and reducing of toxic products content in exhaust gases.
