FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, particularly to a protective switching apparatus, and can be used in protective contact switching apparatus. The arc-extinguishing system has a section, made from a set of arc-extinguishing and spark-extinguishing plates, insulated from each other by a set of insulating plates. The arc-extinguishing plates have a circular shape, have a groove in form of a sector with an acute angle and can rotate about their axis.
EFFECT: increased cooling rate of the arc and its effective extinguishing with reduction of the size of the arc-extinguishing system.
