FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to mining industry, and namely to development of coal beds by an underground method, and can be used for ventilation and control of gas emission when preparing and extracting high gas-bearing coal beds, mostly with long posts through the course. Method involves preparation of preparatory workings, supply therethrough of fresh air to the mining face, discharge of some part of return current, and boring of wells parallel to the above workings. Wells are bored when performing preparatory workings. At that, wells of large diametre are bored and located in the extraction post near the belt entry and on both sides of the air track, and solid blocks 2-3 m wide are left. Then the wells are connected to the ventilation system and when coal is being extracted, fresh air is supplied through the belt entry and the wells located between the entries in the extraction post, and the return current is discharged via the air-track and the well which is located in the inter-lava solid block near the air-track.

EFFECT: improving effectiveness and reliability of gas emission control both at the stage of preparing the extraction area and when performing second working.
