FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cryogenic fluid transfer pumps. Proposed pump comprises impeller 3, bearings 2 and seals 1. In compliance with this invention, proposed pump additionally incorporates drain and bypass lines 5 and 4, check valve 6, throttle valve 7 and receiver 8. Drain lines 5 communicate pump inner chambers with receiver 8 via check valve 6. Throttle valve 7 is made integral with check valve 6. Tests of space liquid-propellant engine incorporating above described liquid oxygen pump have proved at 3°C increase in oxygen maximum temperature at which the proposed pump loses no performances and a decrease in time require for the pump to reach steady run.
EFFECT: higher reliability.
