FIELD: physics; simulation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to making aviation simulators and can be used for elementary training, advancement and maintenance of professional skills of pilots in flying helicopters and air ordinance delivery. The simulator has a system for controlling and monitoring the training process, a simulator complex, which provides for simulation of operation of onboard systems of a helicopter, calculation of trajectory parametres of the helicopter and unguided air delivered ordinances, generation of images of the environment outside the cabin and information support for the system for controlling and monitoring the training process; devices for interfacing with an object, a pilot station in the helicopter cabin, in which there are equipment adjustment controls, helicopter control devices and its weapon system, indicators for the equipment and an indicating panel for the frame and thrust system, indicators and indicating panel for the weapon system and an updated windshield display; a multi-channel projection system, mounted in front of the helicopter cabin. The simulator additionally contains a character generator, acoustic system, synchronisation and commutation unit, pilot's seat with a vibration pad, video camera, device for simulating wireless communication, television display for target environment, navigation-tactical environment indicator inside the helicopter cabin; interface adapter, acoustic environment generator, vibration effects generator, navigation-tactical environment generator, loading mechanism, mechanically connected to the helicopter control devices; a target environment generator.

EFFECT: wider functional capabilities of the simulator for improving quality and effectiveness of training pilots of strike helicopters.
