FIELD: physics, optics.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for efficient adjustment of nuclear material gamma spectrum registration circuit. Substance of method consists in application of sequences of reference light pulses, one of which is supplied to inlet of optical detector of scintillation circuit, and the second sequence of reference light pulses, shifted relative to the first one by time, arrives to scintillator, besides at the outlet of optical detector, energetic spectrum of the first and second pulses is analysed relative to initial spectrum produced in process of single initial calibration with application of reference calibration radioactive source. When optical detector is taken out beyond the limits of unfavorable effect zone, and its communication is realised with scintillator via light guide, additionally they used the third sequence of reference light pulses, shifted in time relative to the first two, energetic spectrum of which is also exposed to analysis. To bring reference light pulses to circuit units, they use optical communication lines, for instance optical fibre.

EFFECT: realisation of calibration process in any moment of time.
