COULTER FOR SPLIT-LEVEL FOCAL APPLICATION OF MINERAL FERTILISERS Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A01C15/00 

FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: coulter includes slot-generating device with two shields attached thereto. Bushing is located between shields on the shaft fixed to pole. Bushing is connected with power transmission. Disc with circumferentially spaced Z-shaped plates and disk with L-shaped plates rigidly mounted on its outer part are installed on the bushing. Plates are fixed on the disc so that L-shaped plates assembled with Z-shaped plates form cells with rectangular walls for fertilisers. Disc with Z-shaped plates is rigidly connected to bushing. Disc with L-shaped plates is mounted on the bushing and can be rotated relative to the axis to adjust cell volume. Outer surface of discs is covered with casing. Charging port and discharging port for fertiliser outlet are made in upper and lower parts of the casing, respectively. Plate-separator is mounted under discharging port along the driving direction of the machine.

EFFECT: coulter design will provide intensive flux of nutrients from fertilisers during entire plants vegetation due to split-level focal application of fertilisers.
