FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: first, connecting elements of pallet part to be replaced are cut off with the help of ribbon saw to remove the said part. Then new parts and partially broken pallet are transferred to fastening bay (18) to be jointed together using new fasteners attached to the pallet top side. Damaged lower parts, say, lower board and/or jointing block is preferably removed as a module, that is, as a skid. This helps attach repair module from the pallet top. Prior to fitting new module in place, position of old fasteners in upper board is, registered, preferably, by electronic means so that new fasteners be fitted in place with a shift relative to existing fasteners. Apart from cutting-off of damaged fasteners, all subsequent jobs are made automatically.
EFFECT: simple and efficient repair.
