FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be implemented for fabrication of items in form of exothermal shells and insertions for heating of heads. Exothermal mixture contains, wt %: aluminium powder 16.0-25.0, iron oxide 8.0-14.0, niter 1.5-6.0, cryolite 2.0-6.0, refractory filler 5.0-64.0, binding in form of self-set composition 4.0-8.5. Self-set composition consists of polyphenolic acid and complex ether hardener. Additionally exothermal mixture contains light-weight filler in form of ash sphere or ground claydite in ratio with refractory filler from 4:1 to 1:4.
EFFECT: upgraded strength and thermo-insulating properties of exothermal mixtures before and after burning and fabrication of easy destroyed shells after casting moulds with metal.
