FIELD: construction industry.

SUBSTANCE: method of burning fine carbonate-bearing materials involves drying of raw material in the rising hot gas flow by using atmospheric air for the drying process, which is heated when cooling the lime unloaded from calcinator; warming-up of the dried raw material before it is supplied to calcinator to be burnt; preparation of heating furnace gases in a separate chamber from atmospheric air heated when cooling lime, and fuel combustion products; burning of raw material in suspended state; cyclone deposition of raw material from process gas flows and cleaning of waste gases. Raw materials are dried in two stages: first, wet raw material is heated in counterflow by means of the rising hot gas flow, in which content of water vapours is more than 0.1 kg/kg of dry air , and then, raw material is dried in the associated rising flow of atmospheric air heated when cooling lime and in which water vapour content is not more than 0.023 kg/kg of dry air.

EFFECT: obtaining high quality fine lime with minimum possible manufacturing costs and minimum environmental damage.
